WINTERIZATION: HAITIAN STYLE

So, as you all know Winter is official here! Can't complain where I am because it honestly has been great. New York Winter has improved tremendously. But, to keep up with the change of weather, it is imperative to implement a winterization plan to alleviate dry skin, dry scalp and hair, whether you are natural or not. I like to stack up with these three products displayed before you:

These products are from Kreyol Essence . I am totally in love with the idea of adding a pleasant scent to Black Castor Oil. It generally has a harsh smell, but Kreyol Essence has made it possible for us to enjoy it with a Lavender, Peppermint, Citrus twist, just to name a few choices. I apply the Haitian Black Castor Oil to my scalp to stimulate my follicles for new hair growth. Haitian Black Castor Oil is strong and powerful. You feel it working with simply one application. The feeling is a tingling sensation which remains for days per my personal observation. Goat and Coconut Cream, better known as Krem Ak Let is the product I use to moisturize my hair. It works well on all types of hair. I love applying it to my braids because it detangles my hair and makes the process of removing braids so much easier. And, my all time favorite is Haitian Shea Butter, I am delighted to have found this product. It can be used for so many different purposes, such as skin moisture and therapy, scalp and hair hydration. I personally use it on my face, apply it as a moisturizer daily under my loose powder during the cold days. It does wonders. My skin feels great and it has a new softness to it. I also apply it in the areas where we have hard skin, such elbows and knees; applying it in those areas are quite therapeutic, especially if you suffer from joint pain. Yes, I can testify to that!

The beauty of these products per my personal observation is that they can be mixed together or with other products as well to maximize results. My favorite mix is Haitian Black Castor Oil & Amla Oil. I use this mix as a pre-poo treatment before washing my hair. The results are phenomenal. My hair is now thicker and fuller than it has ever been due to this treatment.

Amla Oil may be purchased at local drug stores such CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreen's. Here is the link to my previous post on AMLA OIL.

Feel free to winterize with Kreyol Essence. Be equipped to face the cold with some Haitian Flavor.

THE POWER OF VISION

Well, last year at around eleven o'clock in the night on January 31, 2016, I made a conscious decision to be sure to do everything different in order to achieve different things in 2017. So, to start off, I went to my first ever Vision Board Party on January 28, 2017. It was the most exciting event I had ever been to in my entire life. It brought so much joy, happiness, and great clarity for more vision. I was so blown away by the positive atmosphere, I did not even finish my board by the end of the event. So, you know I had homework to do. So, a week later, via searching online, I saw a church which was having a FREE Vision Board Party. I said to myself, this is indeed a great opportunity for me to attend that event in order for me to finish my board. I instantly was motivated to be there. So sure enough, I attended, and not only did I finish my first Vision Board, I began another one, being more specific based on more clarity. I was overly excited. As I was at the second Visi...

HAPPY WOMEN'S MONTH 2017: Honoring Frantzlie Vaval

My name is Frantzlie Vaval, I was born in Montreal, Canada and moved to the United States when I was 13 years old with my family. I must say it was difficult adjusting to a new culture and language.  Looking back, I can say that I conquered many adversities, and always knew with God and family, I would be able to overcome them. I was raised in a Christian home and I see the values that were instilled in me helped me become the woman that I am today.  I currently work as a Public Health adviser. I enjoy working with different communities, and helping people in need of advice. I also work as a Realtor agent, since I enjoy helping others find a place to call home. There are different things that I enjoy doing, but I can truly say that I have a passion in music. I was raised around musicians, my father is a choir director, my mother, sisters and I all sing.  I currently direct a choir as well. I guess I followed in my father's footsteps.  One thing I re...
