EMMYS 2014: FASHION SENSE

The Emmy Awards 2014 Fashion really caught my eye, this year. It was nice to see the illustration of elegance, sophiscation and class among most of the wardrobes. Here is a list of my favorites: The stunning curvaceous beauty, Dasha Polanco simply represented the life of a princess in this gown. This dress suits her so well, as if it was customized for her. The color suits her complexion perfectly, and her hairstyle and jewelry complemented the entire look. Just awesome!   The marvelous Halle Berry glamourously wears a gown from Ella Saab Fall 2014 Collection. This is definitely Pure Elegance from head to toe.           I love this dress on Kerry Washington. It is classy, sophiscated, elegant and electic. The popping orange illuminated her golden skin tone, and the black glitter glitz underneath the high slit is a great sneek peak to glam.       The Exquisite Keke Palmer electrified the red carpet with this eloquent satin electric blue gown with th

VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS 2014: FASHION SENSE

Looking back and highlighting on my favorite outfits of the Video Music Awards 2014- So, let's begin with The Queen Beyonce who always dresses phenomenally. Loving her in this eloquent burgundy color gown. Her dresses always fit her curves so perfectly. And, her glitter glitz glam leotard was perfect for her performance.   Jennifer Lopez looked ravishingly stunning in her cut up glitter gown. The crowd could not resist her glam.     This cocktail dress really caught my eye. I love the eclectic statement it creates- asymmetrically short, but classy.      The look of this cutie patootie dress is so very cute. It creates a great classy, sassy, young spirited look for young ladies. The shoes match it perfectly.       Now, this dress by Atelier Versace Spring 2014 Collection is to die for... It is gorgeous and unique.      I love it when pregnant women dress eloquently. This is a beautiful "mommy-to-be" gown. It is so nicely presen

SEND OUR ANGELS HOME

It is with great regret that the New York Natural Hair and Haitian Community are mourning the loss of Myriam Lebrun, 37 years old member of Naturally Yours, who was killed in a tragic motor vehicle accident, with her four children and mother on the Southern State Parkway on Long Island. The family has set a fundraiser via Go Fund Me in order to send these angels home. As a blogger of Haitian descent and a member of the New York Natural Hair Community, I kindly request for everyone to donate according to your abilities and to keep this family in your prayers for healing.     For more details on crash, click on this link: Lebrun Family Fatal Accident

FELL IN LOVE WITH AMLA

So, for the past 20 days now, I 've been testing this new oil I discovered a few months ago, named AMLA. It's been around in many local drug stores, such as CVS , Walgreen's , and Rite Aid , but I never decided to try until a month ago, after finding some details about it on Pinterest . And, here is the pin that striked my interest:     This pin caught my attention, immediately. I was amazed at its discovery. I never heard of Amla and wanted to learn more about it. So based on my research, Amla oil comes from an Indian Gooseberry, which is a native fruit in India. It contains essential fatty acids, and it is very high in Vitamin C, flavonoids, polyphenols, and also contain water, protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. Amla has been used for Ayurvedic Medicine, is the traditional medicine of India, which originated there over 5,000 years ago. Ayurveda emphasizes re-establishing balance in the body through diet, lifestyle, exercise, and body cleansing, and on

BRAID MAINTENANCE PROGRAM

I am writing this post to answer so many of your questions referencing my braids. First and foremost, please get use to wearing a  SATIN WRAP  while you sleep. That is the first step to keeping moisture and shine to your hair. You have no idea how important this step is, until you try it. I suggest for you to try it for a month to see the difference. 1. WEAR A SATIN WRAP WHILE SLEEPING Unlike many, I actually wash my braids on a regular basis. People are always shocked to hear this. I can't stay without washing my hair. Water must touch my scalp, that is part of renewing its moisture and hydration, which is relating to its shine. I normally wash my braids with Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap  . Let's just highlight on Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap,   this is an old product on the market for years, now. Dr. Bronner  is a classic, revolutionary soap that is literally good for everything. It is great on hair, braids especially due to its light, clear, non-creamy substance.

PRODUCT REVIEW: HAIR- Minoval Hair Growth- Made in Haiti

It is with great joy that I am introducing Minoval Hair Growth Aid Mob. Minoval is a product line manufactured in Haiti. And, if you are wondering... Yes, I am of Haitian descent and very proud. I use the pomade and the capsule drops on my hair with and/or without braids. The growth results are phenomenal. Keep in mind that this a strong, powerful product which generate results. I use this product on my hair, while it was breaking from excessive use of relaxers and permanent colors. This product is NOT FOR EVERYONE! MINOVAL HAIR REGROWTH TREATMENT Solution 2%, Solution 5% Extra strength, Plus, MOB, Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave-in Conditioner, Relaxer MINOVAL Lotion helps prevent hair loss, and stimulates new growth, at the root. How? 1) MINOVAL Lotion stimulates and enlarges hair follicles that have shrunken over time due to a combination of hormonal activity and heredity. So it's actually reversing the hair loss process. 2) MINOVAL Lotion also prolongs the

Unexpected Natural Journey

Just want to highlight on Kinky Twist... Kinky Twist is actually the rough version of Senegalese Twist. Since I have that strong kinky 4C Curly Coil, the kinky style fits my hair perfectly. More reason why I am so in love with Kinky Twist. My first experience with Kinky Twist was actually a year ago. To my surprise, all of my hair actually fell out due to excessive usage of relaxers and colors. My hair was tired from the constant chemical process and, I myself was tired of experiencing breakage and hair loss. So, I actually allowed my hair to do what it wanted to do, and that was to fall off. The experience was frightening. I actually cried for weeks. I began to wear a wig daily, until I courageously went to Mam African Hair Braiding Salon . My hair was literally a short boy cut, or a TWA for naturals. I did not like it at all. After all, it was not a choice I made. I had that style by default. The feeling was horrible. But to my rescue, Mam African Hair Braiding Salon , worked the

Short Kinky Twist

Thank you so much for the compliments I received for my hair. Little that you know I've been wearing it for two months now. I took them out yesterday and got something new today. This style is called Short Kinky Twist.  The credit goes to my hairstylist at Mam African Hair Braiding Salon . I love them! Their service is excellent and the prices are reasonable and affordable.  Mam has been braiding my hair for years, while it was relaxed, as well as it being natural. And, now, that we have three naturalists, additional to myself in the family; we are committed to going to Mam . Whatever the style, just bring it to Mam . Follow them on Instagram .

Take the opportunity to fulfill your desire to the fullest. as we approach the mid-year season. I just want to highlight a very special moment in my life which occurred a couple a days ago. People began to leave comments as I began to promote my blog on my  Facebook page; but I must say that I was most intrigued by a young lady who specifically wrote " I really love your blog!  I've been reading it for fun, lol." I must tell you that comment took me by surprise. I absolutely had no idea that my blog was being followed, since it launched a couple of weeks ago. And, just to show you how the law of attraction works... Every early morning, I share a few inspirational and motivational thoughts with my supporters on Instagram and Facebook .
