BLOGGERS WORLD: INTERVIEW WITH NAKEISHA GEDDES

BLOGGER INTERVIEW WITH NAKEISHA GEDDES

1. Can you tell our readers about yourself and your blog?
Hello my name is Nakeisha Geddes and I work in the Developmental Field. Over the years, I have been serving people without knowing it, and I now realized that serving people is my main purpose in life. I was a young lady who was alone in a world that could have swallowed her, but through God’s grace and Mercy I have overcome. Last year, I found myself in a state of depression, and with professional help, I was able to recognized that my past was the main reason for my depression, and I had to find a way to  move forward. I started writing my story as a way of healing, and today I am proud to announce that I am an Author with and upcoming book title ‘My Cross Road”. My Women’s lifestyle blog will focus on almost anything, and everything to do with both motherhood and family. I will also touch on topics such as women’s empowerment, entrepreneurship, personal and professional development. Health and wellness, faith, spirituality, and of course food. I’m drawing strength from my personal life and all things that make me smile.

2. Describe how did you first get into blogging?
I first got into blogging early last year to motivate myself with my fitness goal. I started a blog called “End of Starting Over” because like many others, I have been struggling with maintain a healthier lifestyle and I wanted accountability while informing others.

My blogging style is base on my life journey and experiences, I am always developing myself and as I go along I will be sharing my journey, so that I can help other women like myself to improve their life in all areas.

4. As a new blogger, how will you manage time to run your blog efficiently?
Wow! This is a good question. My plan is to post two blogs per week, and the only way to maintain this is to schedule time each day to write minimum 20 minutes per day.

5.  Who has impacted you most in blogging and how?
I must say my life coach Elizabeth Correia has been the one who motivates me the most to start blogging, she is an amazing woman and understands my purpose.

6. Where would you like to be in blogging five years from now?
Five years from now, I hope to still be blogging and inspiring women to overcome their pain while pushing towards a positive future.

7.  What inspired you to start your blog?
I started blogging as a way of motivating myself to move to the next level and holding myself accountable for my actions.

8. How will you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?
One of the method I am currently using to help motivate myself while on this journey is having a group of like mind people in my circle, and together we hold each other accountable. I am also practicing time blocking, so that I can stick to a daily schedule and mindfulness.

9.  What do you think is the best social media strategy for getting more visitors to a blog?
I am currently using Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp at Nakeisha as my method for sharing my blog; I’m not able to say which method is more effective, because my blog is fairly new.

10. Would you encourage other people to create their own blog?
Yes I would encourage others to blog, because it’s a way of sharing your knowledge to the world and a perfect way of self-developing yourself.

BE YOUR OWN BEST FRIEND

As I've taken the time to meditate for the past month during the transition of season, I've realized that I've grown a whole lot. I am such a better person today, then I was yesterday, last month, last year... I've improved so much by simply becoming familiar with my state of being, sense of style, and personality. I've learned a lot about myself and embraced myself as my own best friend. I must share that it has been the best personal experience I have ever had in so long. My mind has developed and broadened into creative thinking. Since then, my dreams have been coming true, one after the other. What was once lost is now gained by simply knowing myself as I am. I am now all smiles, walking a path with a new destination. The beauty of it is that I did not need anyone to do anything for me to acquire this new found sense of happiness, peace, freedom, and joy. I am blessed and it shows. I wear it from head to toe. Now, as my blessings pour into my life, I feel
